Real Estate Careers, Redefined...


As the company name implies with "Redefined", you won't find a whole lot of conventional thinking in this business model...including how we pay our agents!

Once again, welcome to real estate redefined.  Whether you're currently a licensed real estate agent or maybe you're considering a real estate career, one thing is certain...you are in the right place at the right time reading the right stuff!  Let's start by reviewing current business models together.

Traditional real estate business models, whether "split" companies or "95-100%" companies, have this one thing in common...massive overhead costs.  Trust me, I'm well aware.  I've spent the past several years managing traditional offices for other owners, and I have a great deal of experience at signing checks to cover the operational expenses.  Beautifully appointed office spaces, massive phone systems, high-dollar copy machines, and then there's the paper.  Boxes and boxes of paper.  All of which are necessities to run a real estate office today, right?

The Hungry Agent, RedefinedAt least that's what traditionalists in our industry need us to believe.  But let's review each of these areas for a moment.  Starting with office space; take a look around the next time you're in a real estate office, whether your own affiliated office or one you're visiting.  Where are the people?  There are desks, chairs, phones, computers, and the air conditioning even feels perfect, but where are the agents?  Umm, please keep this confidential because it could cause quite a stir if it gets out... but THE AGENTS AREN'T IN THE OFFICE AND HAVEN'T BEEN SINCE THE INVENTION OF CELL PHONES AND EMAIL!  Oh sure, an occasional visit to check the mailbox, make a copy of a contract for the office...we'll get back to that in a moment...but real estate agents simply don't require an office to function today.  So the question becomes, why are they and their customers still expected to pay for them?  Even considering the very few agents who truly do use their office throughout the day, nearly every day, we still have the issue of a primarily empty office building, with wasted expense. 

Expensive phone systems are in place, and for what reason?  Right...to transfer your calls to your CELL PHONE...from that $XXX,XXX phone system (yep, they are usually that many digits).  I can transfer your calls to your cell for about a $1 per month with state of the art digital phone service.  It would take at least 83 years at the rate of $1 per month per agent for 100 agents for us to spend the same amount, to do the exact same thing that's happening everywhere today.

The Hungry Agent, RedefinedAnd then there's the copy machines and reams of paper, a tree's worst nightmare.  Contracts continue to get longer, so more pages to copy for everyone, right?  Not here at The Hungry Agent Redefined, this is a tree-friendly company!  All of our required copies are stored as digitial files, which is bad news for the mobile shredding companies, but the forest is smiling big time!

For about $300 per month, you too can be a Hungry Agent, Redefined.  We pay our agents 100% of the commission (with the brief exception of our mentor program), and we don't charge broker administration fees to our customers either!  Please do the math; we're often talking tens of thousands of dollars per year difference per agent when comparing our plan and all other traditional business models.  It's a crazy difference on your 1099, but it's crazy simple math.  Eliminate needless overhead and it works quite easily, to your benefit.

We're a company absolutely focused on putting aside every traditional idea that doesn't make sense, and we will make every effort to apply resources to the things that do make sense.  That begins with empowering agents with the money that has been feeding dinosaurs far too long.  We trust you to make far superior decisions, and we will equip you with the knowledge to do so.  Our consumers are way ahead of the service sector of our industry, and that's simply not fair to them nor the agents who truly want to serve at the highest level.  And our technology platform is simply superior.

Welcome to a fresh approach to real estate.  You can choose to benefit from joining in on the leading edge of change, or you can stay with the traditionalist who will eventually make some adjustments to try and keep up.  With commitments to massive overhead, they will be limited in their ability to adjust, but causing them to even modify things at all will be a victory for agents and consumers alike. 

I have a lot of great friends and know there are plenty of other great people who are traditionalists in our industry, so please don't hear in my voice that this is a people problem, it's simply an industry problem.  Change only happens when people are willing to step out and truly be honest about where we are and where we should be.  That's all we're doing at The Hungry Agent, Redefined...we've started with a clean slate, an open mind, and a willingness to do what's right regardless of how radically different it may seem.
